The FLEX-AUTO project “Experimental platform for energy flexibility in industrial processes for companies in the Galician automotive sector” aims to promote energy flexibility and the digitalisation of industrial processes in companies in the Galician automotive sector, through the development of a prototype demand aggregator platform and experimental validation, through the modelling of grouped management systems, in a laboratory environment and subsequent field experimentation, which will enable the detection of patterns and suggest the flexibilisation of consumption, which would allow companies to participate in the flexibility markets, placing the consumer at the centre of the energy system.

The project will address an innovative concept such as the flexibility of the industrial processes of electricity consuming companies in the automotive sector.

The aim of the project is to reduce the energy costs of industries in the automotive sector by optimising the management of their production processes in order to provide flexibility to the electricity system. To this end, it will address the characterisation, modelling and digitalisation of industrial processes, as well as the development of a prototype demand aggregator platform that allows consumers to participate in the flexible electricity market.

FLEX-AUTO is a project coordinated by CEAGA with the participation of Galicia Digital (DIHGIGAL) and other important entities.

This project is funded by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, as well as by the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan in the framework of the #AEI2022 call.
