ABANCA, new member of DIHGIGAL

ABANCA is now part of the Galician Industrial Digital Innovation Hub, thus turning it into a great support point in the search for financing, integrating the sustainable finance approach and reinforcing one of the four activity blocks of the Hub.

ABANCA is the only financial institution in the autonomous community, with deep roots in society and penetration in the business fabric, matching perfectly with DIHGIGAL, the only Galician ecosystem created by the industry to promote its digitisation and sustainability. Both entities have common objectives, present in ABANCA’s CSR and the foundations of the Hub, such as attracting, developing and retaining talent, boosting business activity, achieving IT security that solves problems and protects data, the objective of achieving an ecological transition through energy efficiency and digital transformation, as well as both having a clear international character.

A key point of this union is that ABANCA, in addition to being a financing institution, is also an important element in technological innovation and entrepreneurship. ABANCA’s own initiatives such as ABANCA Innova, Afundación and its educational programmes link excellently with initiatives such as the BFA or BFFood, as well as with the Hub’s ambition to develop digital skills and training in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The integration of ABANCA as a member of DIHGIGAL is based on the idea of social cohesion through entrepreneurship and is a fundamental pillar for the Hub’s objective of accelerating the digital transformation of Galician companies and industry.
